This message came to me after enquiring about an offer received less than 24 hours after ordering a new video editing program. I ordered the program at a cost of £45 or thereabouts. the following day a mail was sent saying I could order the same program for £20. I 'phoned the supplier asking why this message after ordering. I was told that a different department was responsible for advertising, he was just sales, but I had got the better deal, free books to the value of some £30 or more. I could cancel my order & take the offer of the advert, but I would have to pay for the books which would boost the new order to some £70 or more. I said keep the order and I would wait for my delivery.
It is now 07/01/14, still no post, other than birthday cards for My Good Lady & a magazine for her. OK it is 09:15 a bit early for our postie. He/She will not be seen until late this afternoon, but the waiting is somewhat tedious, I just want to get on with this program
It is 15:30, I have been in touch with Serif (my supplier) it seems that the program was dispatched as per e-mail, Royal mail (read Royal cock-up) do have my goods in their possession,I complained about the postal/handling charge of £4.99 and the so called service I was not getting. Overcharged by Serif, now refunded. slow delivery by the idiots at Royal mail, no explanation of delay expected, they are too big for that and don't give a stuff anyway
