This I call "DREAM ON"......... we all would like to get the Six Gold End .
As one had been shot at the tournament, & I caught this guy having a nap...Well it was only natural to put the two pic's together.
Here we have 3 of our juniors, Abigail, her brother Ashley, & Laura2 Compound shooters & 1 recurve, who shoots what?
They all shoot for Derbyshire County Junior Squad. Abigail has just come through with some good scores & trophies, Ashley has been quiet of late, but is doing nicely, & Laura is saying nothing.
The above picture was not posed, as you can see, only Abigail was aware of the camera.
The picture was taken at The Burton Bridge Open Shoot 24th June 2007
There are others in our club who will feature in my blog at a later date...
Keep an eye open

Good morning to a wet world. The rain to me is a minor inconvenience, I have a full week of archery, locally & a little further away. But, I'm lucky I still have my house & possessions to come back to. This is the worst I have had to put up with. But I was able to take another road into the shooting ground.
The flooding was not as bad as we first thought, as you can see, we were able to access the field to shoot (Or was that to paddle?)

Oh boy, Have I been busy these past few months I'v not been here for ages. Lots have happened since my last visit. Archery course has ended, a new one to start 15th September. New floor covering, Carpet & Oak floor, Curtains, 3 piece suite. Moved the fater-in-Law to another flat created a new newslette, also an extra to comemorate the Open Shoot we hosted which can be found here

The second week of the archery course went well. There is a young girl who has suprised me with her form. She is about 9-10yrs, & her form is that of an experienced archer...already. A little bit of tidying up, & experience, she will be a force to reckon with...SHE IS GOOD

I also am a walk leader in South Derbyshire. This is a healthy way to meet people & also to explore our local countryside. I did not realise I was so fortunate in what I have in my local area. Yuo might hav seen my article about my archery course at Rosliston. Well, my walkleaders course was taken there & we do a themed walk ever month, plus I take walkers out & about in my own locality. Here are 3 pictures taken whilst on some walks

I recently started a new beginners course at Rosliston Forestry Centre. I had 8 pupils out of 11. It would seem that of the 3 who did not turn up, 1 has decided to opt out for the September course, which will be done Saturday mornings.
Here is Wayne Chesterman, trying out my Longbow before the lessons started. He is the Director of the Centre. He is also into Falconry, & puts on displays. Other activities include Laser Skeet, Laser Quest (this is inside a "Dome"), Combat in the woods, this is paintball without the paint, laser guns, rocket launchers etc.etc . This is one hell of a game. I was at the trials when Wayne was on the lookout for equipment, Sad to say, I was not as young as I thought. I had a great time trying out all the equipment, but paid the price over the following week...But it was worth every aching muscle & joint If you want more details on the centre, http://www.roslistonforestrycentre.co.uk/

I had a mail the other day, from Camp America. They were asking about teaching kids the art of archery & wanted contacts. As I'm the wrong side of 60 I guess I'mm a bit over the hill. But I did send details about the two of us...Who knows Something might come of it

Now I've found the new blogger, I have to try this out http://http://picasaweb.google.com/peter.studden/AutumnWalks
click to see if it works

I guess it does not at this stage.

It did show it's face for a second, then went off & I got the "Can't display this page". I'm going to have to work on this

. So, I guess you'll have to settle for the cow instead.........Sorry
