Here's me just thinking.
Whereto start? It's been a while since I was in here, so I had better do something about it. here goes.
The Chinese new year:Carol & I went to Burton Town Hall as volunteers, car parking & table clearing. Our reward?FREE FOOD & ENTERTAINMENT that saved us a few quid, I can tell you. The work was not very hard, as there were plenty of us... but the food was very plentiful & the entertainment was First rate.

ARCHERY: Things have been going quite well with the practice side. I have destroyed a couple of arrows, I put that down to wear & tear. The have been shot thousands of times, & nothing lasts for ever. My compound string & cables are getting to the stage of having to be replaced about £45-£50 should cover that.
I am beginning to get a full diary with archery activities. I am wanted at the new YHA at Moira for the opening day, & also I have to go to Elvaston Castle, Derby for their "No Smoking Day". That's a bummer, no cigars for me then. I have several engagements at Rosliston Forestry Centre coming up over the next month or two. with have-a-go sessions for various groups. March 1st, Carol has a Ladies Day with archery, that lets me off for some quite time. I start a new course in May, the first of two for this year. That will be the 6th or 7th I will have run there. There is a chance we shall be teaching archery at a local school later this year, but not until October from what I hear.
I have just published the latest edition of our clubs' newsletter. It is something I enjoy doing, but it can be damned hard work. Getting information from members is like getting blood from a stone. There are one or two I am grateful to, as they do offer material from time to time. Thanks Pat & Ash.

That's it:Closing now, but I will have to try & keep this site going even if it only to check up on what I have done in the past.
